Lead Pastor

Brian Hoffman has been part of the First Baptist Church family since August 2018. He grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and enjoys teaching God’s Word, leading the staff, and serving the members of FBC.

Brian and his wife, Jessica, have been married since 2008 and have three children: Troy, Daniella, and Tyler. In his free time, Brian enjoys lifting weights, training jiu-jitsu, spending time at the beach, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Before serving as a pastor, Brian worked for many years as an electrician and later served as the general manager of a small business for more than five years. He also served in the Virginia Army National Guard from 2006 to 2012 and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2007 to 2008 as a Chaplain Assistant, where he protected the chaplain and ministered to soldiers.

Brian has earned an Associate of Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Religion with a focus in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

His favorite Bible verse is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
